About Me

Max Shand Lived in Cornwall since the age of 10.

Took up Canoeing, This allowed me to see the water and the coastline in Cornwall. I Passed my BCU 3 Star.

After leaving school and running my Own Computer business http://www.computerstothemax.co.uk

and a Mobile Video Library covering central Cornwall

Body boarding - Longboard any time I got the chance I would be popping over to Newquay as the surf there is awsome and its just 15 minutes north of where I live.

I purchased a speedboat.

The problem with speedboats is they are hole in the water in which to throw money into. I visited a Local boat yard ES Marine where I started working there and they taught me the ins and out of boat repair - inboard, outboard, Jet ski and Ribs

Rapid 50HP speedboat - Great 1st boat, submerged it once as bung was not in.

Fletcher 65 HP - Awesome boat and did so well, never let me down.

Inboard Fletcher 3Ltr Boat: We (friend Darren) purchased a inboard 3.0 Ltr mercruser Fletcher boat which was in bits - rebuilt it from scratch and used it for many years with different boats to add to the belt.

Wake board - Knee board - Trick- Ski`s - Mono Ski - Water Skiing - Super screamer - O`Brien ring

Scuba Diving: This became my Next passion and PADI qualified to RESCUE DIVER - travelling as far a field as Key Largo - Florida and Mexico Puerto Vallarta on some interesting dives meeting sharks and Fire coral.

Longboard

Two wonderful kids come along - Abbie and Torin so pretty much all the Toys went and concentrated on bringing up a family and visits to the beach, Zoo`s etc. But always Snowboarding - owning Ride timeless board for over 10 Years

Longboard from Skindog surfboards - great fun but a trip to Newquay 15 mins and in the water surf conditions permitting.

Kayak: Back onto the water - I was looking at getting a Push bike or a Kayak, settled on a Ocean Malbu 2.5 Seat Ocean Kayak. Great fun and bit annoying to take down the beach as quite heavy, but on the roof and a trolley that came with it we were at silver mine beach(can only get there by boat) and caves, coast was back on the calendar.

What next? Paddleboard similar to kayak will it hold my interest? never kite-surfed as i feel it is little too risky without good training and wind surfing never appealed - most likely from the only fools and horses episode :-)

Few internet searched and I found a JET BOARD...... I remember ES MARINE had one in the rafters never used. Old school board with a long board and engine compartment - my interest was triggered.
